How we work
From scope call to Certificate of Testing and Compliance, a five-stage path
Scope call
Week 0. 30 minutes. We cover the upgrade scope, existing service size, switchboard age, target capacity and EV charger needs.
Site survey
Week 1. Brad inspects on site: switchboard condition, cable size and route, earthing, available space, fault-current expectations. Photos and a survey sheet stay on file.
Design and fixed quote
Week 2. Drawings and a materials list. Fixed-price quote, no variations unless scope changes in writing.
Ergon and meter paperwork
Week 3 to 5. We lodge the after-meter and metering forms with Ergon for service-size changes, new meter points or EV-charger sub-circuits. Lead time managed before the crew mobilises.
Install, test and energise
Week 5 to 6. Switchboard built off-site where possible. On-site cable pull, terminations and energising in agreed windows. Insulation, earth fault loop and polarity tests, the Certificate of Testing and Compliance, and a handover folder with as-built drawings.

In Queensland, electrical installation work needs a Certificate of Testing and Compliance: it confirms the installation was tested and is electrically safe and in line with the wiring rules (AS/NZS 3000). It is given to you once the work is tested and finished, and a copy goes in your handover folder with the as-built drawings.
Yes, for any commercial site. Switchboard cutover and final energising happen in the agreed window (typically Sunday morning or after-hours). The cable pull and pre-wire happen during normal hours with no impact on power.
