What our customers say
Reviews from real Mackay businesses and homes.
Brad and the team installed a 27 kW system on our shed roof in three days. Quote was the third we got and the only one with a payback breakdown I could actually understand. Bill dropped from $1,800 to $340 the first quarter.
Replaced our old 6 kW with a 13 kW plus Tesla battery. Crew were on time every day, cleaned up the site, and walked me through the monitoring app on handover day. Three weeks later the export limit paperwork came through with zero chasing.
Quoted for a switchboard upgrade and three-phase wiring at our workshop. Got the AS/NZS test certificates with the handover pack, RPEQ stamped. Nothing I had to chase up after. Will book them for the solar phase 2 next FY.
Asked three installers for a commercial quote on our cold storage facility. Next Phase was the only one that asked for our interval data before quoting. The other two pitched random kW numbers. Their PDF had NPV, payback and a sensitivity band, exactly what we asked for.
Storm took out two panels and damaged a rail. Brad came out Monday morning, replaced the panels under manufacturer warranty within the week. No drama, no upsell on extra work, no chasing the insurance for me.
Honest sizing advice. We were ready to oversize the system and they talked us down to a 10 kW match for our daytime load, with batteries to come later. Saved us about $9k upfront and the payback math is still under six years.

Frequently asked questions
About ev chargers.
Depends on your service. Single-phase homes are limited to 7.4 kW (32 A). If you have three-phase, you can run 11 kW or 22 kW chargers which add about 60 to 110 km of range per hour vs 30 to 40 km/h on single-phase. For most homeowners 7 kW is plenty (a full charge overnight). 22 kW makes sense if you have multiple EVs or short charging windows.
Yes. With a smart charger (Wallbox Pulsar Plus, Tesla Wall Connector, Fronius Wattpilot or similar) we set it to 'solar only' or 'solar boost' mode. The car only draws when solar is producing, so you charge for free off your roof. Excess grid draw is configurable.
QLD's $3,000 ZEV (Zero Emission Vehicle) subsidy ended in 2024. Federal incentives still apply to the vehicle (FBT exemption for EVs under the LCT threshold), but charger hardware itself currently has no specific QLD rebate. We help with the install paperwork either way.
Australian Wiring Rules (AS/NZS 3000) require a licensed electrician for any hard-wired charger install. A plug-in charger above 10 A also needs a dedicated 15 A or 20 A outlet, which is electrician territory. We provide a Certificate of Electrical Safety on completion, required for insurance and resale.
Not with proper load management. We size the sub-circuit for the charger and configure dynamic load balancing so the charger reduces its draw when the rest of the house ramps up (oven + air-con + induction at dinner time). Switchboard upgrade only needed if your existing service is already maxed out, which we check during the site survey.
Half a day to one day for a typical residential install: mount the charger, run the sub-circuit cable, fit the RCD and isolator at the switchboard, energise, commission, configure the app. Ergon paperwork for any sub-circuit registration takes a few days in parallel.
All EVs sold new in Australia use the Type 2 (Mennekes) connector for AC charging, which is what we install. Tesla, BYD, MG, Hyundai, Kia, Ford, Polestar, Volvo — all compatible. Older Nissan Leaf and Mitsubishi i-MiEV use CHAdeMO and need a different solution; we can advise.
