No, for both safety and warranty reasons. We use a 9 m telescopic pole-fed brush from the ground or a ladder, so the crew never steps on the panels. Walking on panels can cause micro-cracks that don't show immediately but hurt long-term output.
Yes, depending on how dirty the array is. Bird droppings cause hot spots that can knock 20%+ off a single string. Salt and dust cause uniform losses of 5 to 10%. After a clean we send you a 30-day generation comparison so you see the difference, not just trust the marketing line.
Droppings are removed with the same soft-bristle pole and DI water. If we find chewed wiring (cockatoos love silicone cable sheathing in north QLD), we flag it and quote a separate fix with bird mesh. We don't try to upsell mesh unless we see evidence.
