No. We provide a CES (Certificate of Electrical Safety) and a copy of the AS/NZS-compliant install paperwork. Most insurers accept this without changing your premium. We hand you the docs to forward to your insurer at handover.
Panels: 25-year performance warranty, 12 to 25-year product warranty depending on brand. Inverter: 5 to 12 years. Workmanship: 10 years from us, written. If a panel or inverter fails inside warranty we handle the manufacturer claim and the swap, not you.
Two different things get called that, and mixing them up is what leads to a badly sized system. The rule that is actually a rule is the Clean Energy Council's 133 percent limit: your panels can be up to a third bigger than your inverter and the system still qualifies for STCs, which is exactly why 6.6 kW of panels on a 5 kW inverter is the standard Australian system. The other one is a design habit, not a regulation: size the system around 20 percent above what the household actually uses, so a bad week of weather does not leave you buying power. We size against 12 months of your bill rather than either rule of thumb.
Usually yes for the bill, often not for a Mackay summer. A 6.6 kW system is about 15 panels and covers a typical four bedroom household that is out during the day. What changes the answer here is air conditioning and a pool pump running hard through a humid November to April, which is when the load is highest and the roof is producing least in the afternoon.
